Tarot

As you may or may not be aware I am slowly crawling back into the strange and wonderful world of social media. One of the things that I am introducing is my services as tarot reader.

My writing partners (another story for another time – watch this space) have pointed out that some of my writing techniques are unusual. One of my primary writing tools is the tarot. I have been reading tarot for over twenty years. I draw inspiration from the imagery, energies and symbolism extensively. Sometimes, when I am stuck on a plot point or a character’s arc, I’ll do a reading on my work in progress or, pull a card.

Tarot is almost second nature to me so, it never occurred to me that using tarot in the way that I do is particularly unique. Especially when I see other writers using the same technique. A fantastic example is ‘Knight of Cups’ a film by Terrence Malick.

So, I have decided to write more about my creative processes and also, offer one free reading a week to readers or followers of my work. I am offering this service simply because it is something that I enjoy and I am told my clients get a lot out of it. My usual fee for tarot is between $50-$100 – a sliding scale depending on what people can afford. But, as I am only just venturing back into writing, social media and tarot reading. I will only be doing one free reading a week until I have the reserves to offer more.

I can read on any question, and whilst tarot can’t tell you if you are going to win the lottery it can speak to things like how you might achieve a greater feeling of richness and fulfillment in your life. One of the things I love to pull spreads for is creative endeavors. The weaving of muses, art, and tarot just seems like such a natural relationship for me.

So, if you are suffering the much feared writer’s block – feel free to contact me for a free reading. Even if you are just curious, I am always open to talking the process through.

  1. Catherine, this is very generous of you. I am going through *stuff* right now. If you have the time and energy, I would really appreciate any guidance you might choose to offer. If you have other priorities, I of course understand. Thank you for your time.

    • My pleasure. Like I said, I enjoy it. And I am good on my word so I would love to read for you. Every ‘client’ for want of a better word is a priority when the cards are speaking. Thank you for reaching out. Where can I contact you or, contact me at my email address? Big hugs and love to you as you move through *stuff*
